Welcome to my website. I am a New Orleans jewelry designer. My jewelry is voluptuous and modern, based on natural forms and architecture. All pieces are individually handmade in my studio near Bayou St. John in New Orleans. Using silver, goldplate, 14 karat gold and wide range of stones, I take as inspiration the verdant, tropical feel of the Crescent City. My work also reflects my fascination with urban Deco forms and Mayan forms inspired by my travels to Central America.
My work has been shown at American Crafts Council shows, the Ann Arbor Art Fair and other top shows around the country. I've won awards and been featured for many years at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. My jewelry is now on view at Rhino Contemporary Crafts Gallery and at Symmetry Jewelers, both in New Orleans. I do custom work in gold and silver for my clientele in New Orleans. And I have taught metals at Metairie Park Country Day School for many years.
About the Work:
I use a combination of cast and constructed techniques in my pieces. Utilizing roller-printing, vacuum-forming, applique, fold-forming, anticlastic raising and cloisonne enameling. I combine metals and feature a wide array of stones both in bezels and prong settings. I use a very contemporary mixture of textures and finishes to create depth and interest. All pieces are offered in silver, most in 18karat gold-plate. Any piece can be special-ordered in 14karat or 18karat gold, price upon request. All gold-plate is heavy 18karat electroplate, done industrially and guaranteed forever!
